the Penguins announced this morning that they have agreed to a 2 year contract extension with back-up goaltender Brent Johnson. Johnson was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. he will earn $600,000 each season for the next 2 seasons. I have been very impressed by his play this season and I am very happy to hear that he was resigned and that the Pens have solidified their goaltending situation for 2 more seasons.
it will be interesting to see how this effects WBS Pens goalie John Curry who I thought was a shoe in to be Fleury's back-up next season.
