the Penguins have signed Defenseman Kris Letang to a 4 year deal through the 2013-14 season. Letang was scheduled to become a Restricted Free Agent after the season. no financial terms were released.
now GM Ray Shero can work on deciding what to do with their remaining group of UFA d-men consisting of Sergei Gonchar, Mark Eaton, Jay McKee and Jordan Leopold. obviously they will not all return and Ben Lovejoy will definitely be on the team next season. Matt Cooke, Ruslan Fedotenko, Bill Guerin and Alexei Ponikarovsky are all UFA's as well. it should be an interesting Summer.
