even though i am a caps fan im glad to see hes ok i hate when are players injure the other team.

btw do you think the hit was a cheap shot or not

Of course it was!!! Watch the replay in slow motion, you can see AO's knee go forward directly at Gonchar's knee. If he keeps on taking runs at other teams best players, he's going to get JACKED up one of these times by that teams goon.

Not even close to a cheap shot. He was going for the full body hit that is why Gonchar did a barrel roll. If it was direct knee to knee he would have flipped. Not that difficult to figure out.

That's your opinion, and yours isn't going to change mine.

No that's actually what happened. You have an opinion that it was a cheap shot but I have the video evidence that disproves your theory. Not that difficult. I know it is difficult to be rational when you are a homer but spare me your third grade retort.

Not really, but if you want to think, then be my guest. I'm not being a homer, I call it like I see it. Not that it even matters, because the Pens won tonight and the Crapitals have a 9:00 tee time tomorrow.

I know that you won't unset your mind, and I'm sure I'll get a "third grade mentality" type comment coming my way as well

Gonchar did flip. Because of the angle, it sent him with one leg in the air, his skate on the grounded leg cause him to spin a little, before the hit took him completely airborne in an awkward flip.

If you hit somebody under their knee in an upward motion that's the way you flip, especially when your other leg is on ice like that.

It's pretty easy to figure out when you factor everything in.

it was a cheap shot and nothing more needs to be said. Ovechkin knows it and Gonchar knows it.

I love the way Ovechkin plays all offense and no defense it is great for his opponents. even his captain said after the game last night "some guys try to win the game on their own". why not try to play like a team instead of always trying to be the show?

Gotta love be all and end all statements. If the rest of the Capitals had decided to show up for the series Clarkie might have a valid statement, but many of the players were just ghosts. I lost track of the odd man rushes they gave up to Pitt. Just pathetic attempts to clear the puck, some really stupid penalties, missed assignments, and not clearing guys out of the crease. The only reason the Pens just didn't walk away with that series is because Ovechkin played his heart out and put the puck in the net.
