Penguins vs Sabres pics

the Pens played their 2nd game in as many days and I was lucky enough to be there again. Mark Letestu scored his 1st NHL goal 47 seconds into the game and then the Sabres Roy scored a PP goal followed by a goal from Vanek to take a 2-1 lead in the 1st Intermission.

7 minutes into the 2nd Buffalo's Tim Kennedy made it 3-1. the Pens then scored 4 straight goals led off by a Crosby PP goal. the 2nd Pens goal in the Period went to Staal followed by 2 more by Crosby to complete the Hat Trick (his 3rd of the 09-10 season) and give the Pens a 5-3 lead going into the 2nd Intermission.

Pominville scored with 3 minutes remaining in the 3rd but it wasn't enough as Marc-Andre Fleury was able to stop a barrage of shots to end the game and give the Pens the come from behind victory and 2nd straight win.

The hat trick was great tonight. On tv they said with the new blade the puck is much faster off his stick. You could tell on that empty netter.

tonight was the second of Sid's 3 hat tricks that I have witnessed in person this season. his new stick definitely seems to be helping him this season and like he keeps saying he is shooting a lot more than he has in the past.

just saw on NHL on the Fly that he is now tied wit Patrick Marleau for the NHL lead in goals

Whoa Dave! Awesome pics, thanks man! Didn't get to watch since it was on TV. Thanks for the recap too. Looks like the Pens... well, Crosby actually... muscled to a victory. Congrats to them! Hope the Sabres aren't going on a skid.

even though Crosby had a hat trick the comeback was definitely a team effort. they couldn't have done with out the defense stepping up in the 2nd and 3rd periods. I can't figure out why Miller has such a hard time with the Pens.
