Pens Claim Chris Bourque from Caps

MAJOR sadface.

Chris was in uniform practicing this morning. He was getting ready to leave and sign autographs when he abruptly stopped and went back inside for a phone call. He sat in there for about 20 minutes then went back to the locker room. Then he came back out with some equipment and about 30 sticks. Someone asked if he was going back to Hershey and he said "no, Pittsburgh". We just all kinda looked at each other like "ummmm what??" and he then said "I got claimed off waivers" and well... thats the story.

I'll miss him, he was one of the nicest guys on the team and climbing ranks as one of my favorite players. I was real excited he had made the team, but thanks to someone I'll leave unnamed (MICHAEL NYLANDER) he's gone.

that's what happens when your team goes over the cap. I am pretty excited to have Chris join the Pens. he scored 21 goals and had 52 assists in 69 games last season with the Hershey Bears.



the Pens however did lose Paul Bissonnette on waivers to the Coyotes. Bissonnette has become a very talented enforcer for the WBS Pens and had several good NHL fights last season but the Pens had to waive 5 players yesterday to get their roster down to 24 players. Biz Nasty will be missed but with Godard on the team there was no room for him.

I also liked Chris, he gave my son a puck after practice a few years ago when they were still at Piney Orchard for practice.

I hate Nylander. all he does is skate in a circle and give the puck to the other team. yet another reason to hate Nylander
