Pens receive their Stanley Cup Championship rings

the Penguins players, coaches and other staff received their 2009 Stanley Cup Championship rings last night at a private ceremony. the rings have 167 diamonds totaling 4.5 karats. the Pens logo is over the Stanley Cup which sits on a bed of diamonds replicating the arena and ice surface. there are 2 other Stanley Cups on the side of the ring honoring the 1991 & 1992 Stanley Cup Championships the Pens won. each ring is personalized on the other size with the players, coaches or staff members name.

there will be a public viewing of the Stanley Cup and the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the City-County Building on Thursday October 1 from 8am - noon.

on Saturday Oct 3rd and Sunday Oct 4th full and partial season ticket holders have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Cup. I will be there Saturday .
