I'm not on hear to make friends with Red Sox fans. haha. I'm here to talk baseball. I'm not looking for sympathy...I'm just stating my opinion. I know people will bash me for the thread, but that's what this is all about. If people didn't care there wouldn't be 73 views on this thread already.

People aren't viewing out of interest. They are viewing to see what new, annoying Yankee talk you could have possibly come up with this time.

Doesn't it tell you something about yourself when a die hard Yankee fan (me) is telling you that your constant threads are past the point of annoying?

For such a young kid you really have a diluted sense of self worth. That and you come off rather egotistical. Yep, you're a "typical" Yankee fan. No wonder the rest of us get such a bad rap. It's not because of the Yankees or their spending. It's mostly because of fans like you.

I have read every post, and the OP has come across as someone just striking up a conversation by stating his seemingly thought out opinion... and everyone is just bashing him, his opinion and the Yankees.

I have a pair, thanks. What I don't have is the need to be obnoxious about my team. Never have, never will. I was a fan when they stunk in the 80's, when they won in the 90's/'00 and now they pretty much stink again. I don't brag about them..I don't run around swearing they'll win every season....and I don't make 13,000 threads about every move my team makes down to ordering TP supplies for the crapper.

I'm a fan. I love my team, win or lose. But you certainly won't find me backing another Yankee fan just because...and you certainly won't find me getting an "N.Y" tattooed on my body anytime soon. So maybe you are more of a "vocal" (I call it obnoxious) fan than I. Good for you. Hope it works out for ya.

I wasn't referencing you, but take it how you wish. I've just never seen so many fans of one team bash on fans of THE SAME TEAM. It is funny to me. im a long time yankee fan too, but since the bloop against the d-backs, i have been 100%
sure they will never win again, so now i just keep track of stats and prospects and
am ok with knowing yanks are done. it doesnt matter who they sign kev, how nice the stadium is,
yanks arent winning another championship in our lifetime.

Not to say that this is the case with the OP, but I don't like obnoxious fans of ANY team, including my own.

No offense here, but this is why everyone is giving him a hard time. He starts sooooooo many threads like this for the attention. He did it over on the Topps board and got the same results. I saw at least 6 threads on the 1st page over there one day, and they were all pretty much the same. "Looking for attention" threads. Some one else actually started a thread asking for all the Yankee threads to at least to slow down, and now he's here doing the same thing.

i am by no means a yankees fan, cause i am not.

but they have been great for years. bad thing is the other teams in that division are even better. with the additions of this offseason i think they will be the wildcard if not division winner this season. they have fewer questions to answer than most teams.

but nowadays it’s all about what have you done for me lately. The Yankees haven’t won the World Series since 2000 against the Mets’. Anything short of a World Series title is no good in a lot of fans minds.

That's 6 in about 225 seasons...and only 2 in my life time.

The only Yankees fan that bother me are the ones that are also Cowboys fans. I think those people need to learn to think for themselves once in a while. I have a few of them at work and I hate talking sports with them.
