Smart man. He knows the AL is a bad fit for him.
True but is seems he is running out of places to go. LOL
I can see him staying in the NL like he has stated before. But who lands him??

Yet another team that Peavy rejects. It'll be interesting to see what ends up getting down.

Dodgers will take him. Nothing like a Rotation like this:

1. Peavy
2. Wolf
3. Billingsly
4. Kershaw
5. Who cares :)

I think the Cubbies will come in with a strong offer, just a gut feeling though.

Just as long as Vitters isn't included like the talk was in the off-season.

I'm thrilled it did not get done.

It is doubtful he goes to Cubs, they are having enough money issues with the sale of the team to absorb another mammoth contract. I hope he does go to Cubs, and pitches in the crosstown classic in the Cell, THAT would be something to see!!

thanks Jake.. I will never wear a White Sox jersey.. even if your on the team... Hey MELVIN! you could have traded Gwynn JR as PART of the Peavy package instead of getting Jody "not going to play here" Gerut

I can't remember the time someone actually outright activated their no-trade clause. I'm sure I just have amnesia, so somebody set me straight. Who else has said NO to a done deal?
