for (2) 1st Round Draft Picks, and a 2nd Round Draft Pick.

By no means am I a huge Leafs fan, but Brian Burke has this team moving in the right direction. I really like the moves this team has made in the offseason. I think they did great by drafting Nazem Kadri with the 7th Overall Pick this season. They are going to be much more competitive this year, and have a real good shot at sneaking into the playoffs.

If it was any other team I'd say they over paid. But with how the Leafs draft...good deal. Nice young talent. The problem is, Kessel is more of a complimentary player to a great center. Now they need that unfortunately.

Huge steal for the Leafs. Kessel is a much better talent than anything the Bruins will get with those picks.

Thats a huge pick up for TO. Given that Toronto has a history of drafting really, really crappy, might as well take the sure thing over some high picks. This trade could hurt TO though if they have some really crappy seasons and those first rounders are top 3 or 4 picks.

great trade for the Leafs but as lumm0x said he is more of a complimentary player and they need to find him a top center.

He was a complimentary player in Boston because Boston didn't know how to utilize him properly. The Leafs drafted poorly in the past, but that was before Burke. That all changed when they hired Burke.

And no, I'm not a Leafs fan.
