Why do people hate the Phillies so much... They are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports. Doesnt that say it all! 130 years old! i wonder if there were alot of Philies haters back then...
I collect high end Phillies. or anything from the 1980 world series of the phillies

I agree that a lot of phillies fans are obnoxious. I get annoyed at the ballpark when the fans boo a guy like Jayson Werth who helped win us a world series. Also, the ownership of the team stands for everything I'm against which annoys me. Amaro is in complete denial and needs to accept that sabermetrics are important. How can he possibly say on base percentage doesn't matter and that run production is the most important thing when producing runs is dependent on getting guys on base? Teams that get on base score runs. We used to have teams that got on base, ran the bases well, and could field. Those were the winning teams.

Booing doesn't bother me and I'm not a booer. I agree that the Werth booing is unwarranted. He helped the team get a championship then got paid. Who in their right mind would not have taken the money?
