Good for him and I say it's a smart move on his part when he hits free agency he could still see big money

I knew I should have purchased more than just a couple base autos a few weeks back. Picked them up for $45 and still felt like I overpaid but I just had this feeling about the kid...

Now his base autos are selling for $110-$120. Definitely going to sell one of them to make up for what I paid for the pair (plus a small profit) and I'll still have one in the PC that I basically got for free.

Good deal if he works out, and having too many good young players is never a bad thing but I still would have liked to see more out of him at the big level before handing him the Starting job and a long contract...

Really? I think I paid 3 bucks for the one in my first post when they first came out...

Scott had a great first day with 2 hits and a stolen base.

I noticed you didn't say OPENING Day?

Headscratcher to me, one of several. I'm not killing him like others but I think his "quirkiness" makes people less trusting up front...

That's my complaint. Have him show you he's legit MLB talent for a year or two and then sign the long deal...

If I'm a top prospect and you make me prove myself for 2 years then offer me 6/$24 I'm going to laugh at you. At that point we're just going to arbitration or you're going to pay me a lot more than $4 million AAV. $4 million a year is chump change for baseball owners and if he's any kind of player at all he's going to make more than that in arb so it makes sense. Cesar Hernandez will make about $25 million when he's done with arb (unless they sign him long term) and I think they expect Kingery to be better than Hernandez.

I didn't say opening day because it wasn't. It was his first MLB game..
