JD Drew gets drilled almost in the head, and get the loudest ovation of the night. Gotta love that city, citizens of it have boo'ed and StevieKicked Santa Claus!

Phillies Phans hate JD Drew, gots nothing to do with Boston or whatever team the guy is playing for. And get over the whole Santa Claus thing, some skinny sad-excuse for a Santa Claus 20 year-old kid 40 years ago or whenever the heck it was. The team sucked and he sucked as a Santa Claus, end of story.

Oh I know, I meant to put the boo JD Drew on every single team he has been on.

First off it wasn't that close to his head. It was a breaking ball that got away. The guy has been hated in Philly for years, just like Boston fans would cheer if Texeria was nailed.

Second, Boston hit multiple guys last night and Bard almost drilled Werth in the head. None of them were on purpose, but you should still expect the Phillies to do the same thing. The Phillies didn't even retaliate yet.

Even though it doesn't have anything to Drew, these fake Red Sox fans there all weekend harassing Phillies fans is starting to annoy everyone. Maybe 50 of them are form the Boston area, the rest are all circa 04.

Boston's fans are angels though, how could I forget.

I wasn't really even trying to bash Philly fans, I expected JD to get the life booed out of him. I lived in Allentown when he was negotiating his contract, I know how much he was hated. Most Boston fans are horrific. I guess I should have made it more clear in the original post I love Philadelphia. Pat's is one of the greatest places on Earth, ECW Arena as well. If I see a Rocky movie on TV, I can not turn it off (Unless it's Rocky V, which I deny exists......). I found it funny to hear the huge cheer out of the crowd when it caught JD on the shoulder. I wasn't trying to be like "Oh my god, you cheered when he got hit!!" I expected it, and it still really made me laugh.

Many times, I lived an hour from Philly for 3 years. One guy offered me crack, then invited me to his family picnic and pumped my gas at 3am in Philly in 2000.

The only city worse on the east cost than philly is Baltimore.

I can see that, of course all my knowledge of Baltimore is from The Wire.

I totally disagree. Filthadelphia is a ********, the fans are classless and yes I have been there plenty of times. In fact, Filthy is the only place in my life I have seen a dead body (on a subway platform that we didn't stop at "due to police activity" as was announced to us on the train)....with a bunch of white cops standing around the body just "hanging out" in a very casual manner so to say....as me and my friend were the only white guys on that particular car of the train, I can safely say that our fellow black passengers were not too happy and we felt quite uncomfortable with the looks we were getting. That is a 100% true story and I think it was 1996/7. We went to Philly for the MLB HR Derby and then took the subway downtown to the convention center for fanfest and all this happened at the Lombard Street South (or something close to that name) station on our way back at night to our car which was parked at the stadium. Not to mention we got harassed for money every 10 steps or so while walking downtown. I am not saying Baltimore City doesn't have it's areas to avoid (like every city) but I have never felt unsafe or experienced anything like that in Baltimore and I have been to every part of the city at every time of day as I live in the surrounding county.

So you were on a subway with a bunch of black people and you were "quite uncomfortable"? We don't bite dude  We are people too, going and coming from work just like everyone else. It's ok, we are only black, doesn't mean your going to get shanked on a subway car

Good, because that would be the entire city limits, save for about six square blocks around the inner harbor and and a few around Fell's point

Shenanigans. You've been in the projects of Baltimore at 4am? I wouldn't drive through half of Baltimore in a tank. Baltimore's ghetto makes Philly's look like Disney World.

Of all the cities I've been too, Baltimore is more depressed and broken than anywhere else I've been, save Camden, NJ and Gary, IN.

You have a fantastic ballpark tho

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I go to Philly every year for the past 3 years for the mets philly game. Amazing city. Granted I don't travel around at night but I do go into the city for the cheese steaks. ballpark amazing, food amazing, fans are like any other fans in any other ballpark.

when the cardinals and j.d. played there didnt they throw rolls of pennies at him in the on deck circle and outfield? i love the passion... partly cause i think drew is a whine *** ****** bag. for years i thought his initials were d.l. drew and now he prances around like a great of the game because he has had a few decent years. i cant justify tossing at a dudes noggin but i can understand this one.

oh yeah worst city on the face of gods green earth is memphis. i had a homeless man try to show me his dick for an hour and a 495lb woman throw a beer bottle at me. my mom got mugged and my brother got punched in the face by a coked out keyboard player at b.b. kings. i witnessed an armed robbery and had my car broken into. we were there for 2 nights on our way to florida...
