I will pick mine not using any of your players

PG Magic
SG Kobe
SF Bird
PF Duncan
C Olajuwon

Your team is probably better, but if they were to play Stockton would have trouble defending Magic, and I am not sure Wilt is quick enough to cover Olajuwon.

Bird would need a lot of help with Lebron

I would also like to have Rodman coming off the bench to give 6 hard fouls to Russell and Wilt. Can't give them free shots. They are poor at the line also

Jordan vs Kobe in their primes would be interesting. I was thinking Magic, but I chose Stockton because he doesn't need a lot of shots and shoots with a high percentage when he does shoot. Russell is all about the defense, and then leave scoring to MJ, Lebron, and Wilt. I don't think any team could stop a team with Lebron and MJ on it because MJ can beat anyone and Lebron is such a match up issue.

Chris Paul
Kobe
MJ
LeBron
Bill Russell

I'd move MJ to the 3, and LeBron to the 4, because they could play those positions, and you could add Kobe to the list.

PG- Oscar Robertson (nobody will avg. a triple double in a season again ever)
SG- MJ
SF- Lebron
PF-Russell (although I would take Olajuwon here also)
C-Wilt

The Big O and Magic are real close though, as they are both versatile beyond comprehension. Russell brings leadership and sets the example for the rest of team so ego's don't take over.

Chris Paul (over Magic, Stockton and the Big O....never)
Kobe
MJ
LeBron
Bill Russell

Your lineup is too small with Russell the biggest guy at 6-9. You would have a Suns type offense that I don't think is powerful enough or big enough. Magic would make a joke of Chris Paul guarding him......

UofO bailed everyone out by picking the Big O. He is probably top 5 most impressive players in history. 89 triple doubles before he turned 25. Insane. He has to be the PG on an all-time team.

On my team I have the scoring and rebounding taken care of. I'll take the all time leader in assists and steals over oscar. I'm not taking away from what he did, but Stockton fits better on my team.

I took the approach of picking a team that could compete and possibly beat Tomlinson.

Magic would be better fit to do that. Even with that said I still feel Magic was a better player the Big O

Jordan vs Kobe in their primes would be interesting.

Im sorry but Jordan vs Kobe would be a complete joke. Kobe is good but Micheal was better.

PG-Magic Johnson
SG- MJ
SF-Lebron
PF- Garnett
Center- Wilt

I picked Kg over Russell and others because of his length and ability to hit the outside jumper. With Wilt, Magic, MJ that can all post people up, I think Kg would make a very good complement to these players. Also Kg can play defense and hit his freethrows.

No doubt. I was just thinking how competitive they each are/were and how they'd both elevate their games to out do the other.

I agree the Jordan is better than Kobe, but to saying the difference beetween the two it is a joke, well is a joke

I am not saying I would match Stackhouse or Vince Carter to him. I am mentioing the next best SG in my opinion the league has ever seen. Kobe would hold his own against Jordan and the two would bring out the best in each other

I am picking solely on GREATEST at their position.

PG- Magic
SG- MJ
SF- Bird
PF- Duncan
C- Wilt

I seriously think these are the best players at their position.

Maybe not the 5 greatest players in the HISTORY of the game, but at their position, yes.

I can't disagree with the best at the position right now, but give it time and Lebron will take Bird's spot. And that's from a celtics fan.

I love Lebron, but I wouldn't be able to live with myself not putting Larry on any team I wanted.

PG- Magic
SG- MJ
SF- Bird
PF- Garnett
C- Early Lakers Shaq

You will get no argument from me and Legendary Larry is my all time favorite basketball player (I was given the nickname Bird because we play a similar game....and because we are both white :oops: ).

I think LeBron will go down as the SECOND best basketball player of all time. I just don't see him ever taking Jordan's spot as the reigning King of Basketball.

I've actually contemplated this before:

C= 99-00 Shaq
SG= 92-93 Jordan
PG= 86-87 Magic
SF= 85-86 Bird
PF= Present Lebron

Your PF would be dominated by Bill Rusell, Charles Barkley or Tim Duncan, in their best seasons.

Plus, I thought we were picking a PLAYER for each position, not a SEASON for that player.
