Disappointing outcome for certain, but we'll see what Duensing can do Saturday.

It was another five-star day in the Upper Midwest yesterday. Brought along a sweatshirt for later, but didn't need it. If there were any New Yorkers that came in for the games, they had to be impressed with the weather (and Target Field, of course.) Here's a few photos from our day. My wife took the majority of the photos.

From the parking garage.

My wife Janet and me at the giant Gold Glove, always a popular spot for photos.

One of my favorite things at Target Field. Really.

Our seats were up in Section 225, but we went down on the lower level behind the Twins dugout to take pictures. Nobody checked our tickets the entire time. I left after awhile, but Janet stayed until the first pitch. So she got some swell pics.

She liked this one of a camera in the camera well. Cheat sheet for the cameraman!

Me, sporting the 'Stache. Local ESPN Radio station was handing them out. This looks more like a Mario mustache than Pavano!

TC sporting the 'Stache, too.

Twin Cities Boxing legend Scott Ledoux with his family. Scott threw out the first pitch to Kent Hrbek. Ledoux has ALS.

Warming up...

Let's see, L to R; Joba, Wood, Burnett, Hughes, Sabathia, and Kearns. Not too bad for multiple autographs! (Thanks to Dave and techboy for filling in the names for me.)

NLDS077.jpg

Danny Valencia at the dugout. Maybe make a copy of it for an auto, too.

Every girl's grazy for a sharp-dressed man...

NLDS087.jpg

Coming in from the bullpen. Might cut Anderson out, and print an 8x10 of Pavano and Mauer. Now that would be a nice auto!

Getting ready...

NLDS092.jpg

Great shot, honey.

NLDS094.jpg

Exchanging pleasantries.

NLDS099.jpg

The view from our seats.

Delmon at bat. The only guy on the team hitting the ball.

NLDS108.jpg

Action shot! Foul ball, I think.

NLDS112.jpg

For the Broadcasting nerds...TBS booth with Darling, Smoltz and Johnson next to the ESPN booth with Hershiser and Miller.

NLDS113.jpg

Uh, oh. Not good. Right before Pavano was taken out (and Gary thrown out).

NLDS123.jpg

Rally cap time! Didn't work, though.

NLDS130.jpg

Still, had a great time, and got home about 10:45 to find two boys still up. Typical. Thanks for looking!

Nice picks Greg! To bad we lumped you guys up in 2 games! ;) I really like the photo with the city in the background and oh yeah, Craig Seager has to be the worst dressed announcer I have ever seen!

Thanks to you too, Dave. I'll make corrections to the caption. So what's Kearns doing hanging out with the pitchers?[/quote:cmu05tlk]

Kearns probably wants to learn how to pitch, as he sure as hell can't hit.

Or...

The pitchers think if they hang around someone who strikes out a lot they will strike out more batters.

Great pics Greg !! My brother was in the RF upper bleachers. He said it was a last minute thing and he ended up going to the game.

Sucks they can't seem to get over the hump of beating the Spankees

What camera did you use for those pics ? They are nice.

Canon Power Shot S5 IS 8.0 Mega Pixels. Nothing real fancy, but it does nice work. Zooming in from far away can get real grainy, though. Janet couldn't get a decent shot of Rivera on the mound from where we were up high.
