Blame it on my wife. If I don't take a lot of pictures (for her to scrapbook) she'll get mad, yada, yada, yada...

So Friday night's game was cloudy at first, and I forgot my mini tripod so my pics aren't as sharp--see Saturday's pics soon!

Aww, Derek. You closed your eyes!

Kevin Slowey and John Rausch hanging out in left field. Rausch is huge next to Slowey!

Friday night's seats were down the left-field line, so these were zoomed in, but without my tripod, they weren't as clear.

And for those who wonder what it's like at Yankee Stadium when A-Rod hits a Grand Slam, I happened to have it rolling at the right time. (really, this is my footage!)

Onward to Saturday's game!

Saturday' seats were in 314, the Wheelchair area (my brother got them from stub Hub, so he didn't catch on.) Still, really good seats, we were in the shade all the time, and I had a railing to put my tripod on. Really helped me get better pics.

And my collection of kitch--Pocket Schedule, Stadium pin (I always try to get one when I go to a new stadium), a couple of magnets, and crushed pennies! Yankee Stadium, and the ESB. (Penny crusher cost $1.01 in NYC! What's up with that? Even at Disneyworld they were only .51!)

Thank you, thank you very much!

Great stuff. I'm going to try and hit it sometime this summer.
Did you check out the Yankee Museum in the Stadium. Aren't they trying to display signed baseballs from every player who has played for the team or something like that. Does Steiner have a booth at games selling game used stuff?

Yes, I saw the museum. Not as much stuff as I had anticipated, but the ball collection is massive. Steiner has an entire store there! Also found a stand that had single cards, and some old packs--was real tempted to buy some 1993 Bowman packs for $8. ea, but decided against it. Man, if I could get $5 for a common Jeter card like that guy, I'd set up there, too!

Looks like a fun trip...youve been to as many games at the new stadium as I have and I live less than 10 miles from Yankee Stadium. I havent had a chance to go this year.

Thanks for sharing, that video footage is very cool!!

Thanks. The best thing about the video to me is how loud it was. It just erupted! Cool to be there, stinks as a Twins fan.

If you think that was loud, I was at the game that Alex hit #500.

It was about twice as loud as that and lasted about 10 minutes. Pure Craziness.

Not to veer the thread, but i see you mentioned a tripod a few times. What camera do you use?

It's just a Cannon Power Shot S5IS. Nothing really fancy like an SLR, but I use a mini tripod--it's actually a Flip video camera tripod. Really came in handy for the action shots. I forgot it when we went to the ESB at night, so my night pics aren't so good. I can't hold a camera steady to save my life!

And Amazin HOF--we did eat at La Mela. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, my brother had spaghetti & meatballs. Good times!

Isn't that the best way to do it? No lines and amazing views of an amazing city at night. I was at the Yankees-Sox game on Monday night, and you're right, there's nothing like it when the place explodes. The two homers in the ninth were incredible.

I'm a season ticket holder, and I'm happy to help out anyone that needs tickets. Just shoot me a PM.
