Ouch, I just took a look at the afternoon scores and noticed the Pirates were down 20-0 heading into the bottom of the ninth. Any fans holding out hope for a miracle? :benson:

It's over, the miracle won't happen.
I think you better be left out of a team as i am (Montreal) than being a fan of the Pirates right now ::facepalm::

To be honest, while I am a Steelers fan...I'm not a Pirates fan, rather a Tribe fan. Ugh.

Living near Pittsburgh, it's definitely not fun to watch year after year. Fortunately, my teams from somewhere else...

I guess today was the worst loss in Pirates history.

Sorry guys...

36-1 in the series is ugly.

I just got back from the game, and though it was rough as a Pirate fan, it did make for an entertaining (though arduously long) game. I have never seen a game where a team got hit so hard. It's not like an inning or two were blown open by a big error or one bad pitcher. Every pitcher that entered the game pitched poorly, and just about every ball, even the outs were hit with authority.

However, I would say that the double play combo of Cedeno ad Iwamura leave a lot to be desired. There were two or three balls today, including one in the second that would have ended the inning, that should have been relatively routine double plays but the runner at first was able to beat out because of a slow transfer. If the team isn't able to get consistently deep into ballgames with their starters, this year is going to get very messy in a hurry. The pen has already been overworked, and I don't know that there has been a game since the opening series were the entire pen was available at the same time.

Oh well...hopefully the Pens game and Steelers draft go better tonight.
