I need to collect ticket stubs for some of my favorite players and eBay has NOTHING of what I need.

Where do you pick yours up at?

pretty much just ebay now....sometimes you have to be creative in your searches but overtime you can find what you need.

For events that have just happened, I hand write a letter to the home teams public relations (or equivalent) and ask for an unclaimed ticket. For older events, online (mostly eBay) all the way...I've gotten some obscure tickets just being patient.

The coolest is probably Frank Thomas' highest receiving and longest reception game as an Auburn Tiger tight end.

Who are you looking for?

I don't have the exact dates, but I would be looking for these of Mike Kingery for the collection. I don't normally collect stubs of games I haven't been too, but considering I have a good share of his cards, and his GU stuff is hard to find, I better toss something else in too.

I would be looking for these most importantly:

Debut
First Home Run
First RBI
First Hit
First Back to Back home run at Coors Field (he was 1/2 the combo)
Last Game
Any minor league stubs, and I would like to get his debut stub for each team he played for.

I might also do the same for Dana Kiecker and Glen Perkins, but I don't know.

I will get dates rounded up in a couple days. If anyone could help me at least locate them, I can send something your way.

I'd be interested to see how many collectors go for stubs....I mean I do HR stubs and I'm sure some pitcher collectors go for wins, but outside of those stats, what other collections exist?

Some do debut stubs too. I am just trying to expand my collection beyond cards. These will look nice in 1-touch holders as well and will bring a whole new aspect to the collection.

If I can dig up random ones for games he played in, that would be cool too.

Yeah, most say that had he not chosen baseball over football that he'd been in the NFL.

You looking for more recent stubs? I hoard the stubs from every sporting event I go to and collect vintage stubs. Got these from my grandpa after he passed away a few years ago. He had the 1929 UGA football team and faculty sign his stubs from the 1st game played between the hedges. I collect all UGA athletes, football and baseball, so these stubs were a great addition to my collection. Also, doesn't hurt that NY Yankees pitcher Spud Chandler was on this team and signed the stubs.
