Re: Which PLayer Lots Sell "well", that are worth putting togeth

This may be an obvious thing to post, but you're farther ahead typing out the list of what's for sale during the week or whenever and then just copy-paste'ing it right into eBay. That may have been REALLY obvious, but just thought I'd toss it out there.

My biggest concern is typing out the list for each player. Especially since I will be over 100 cards on most of the lots, with some being in the 250-400 range. I am guessing I am going to string this out a bit and try for about 100 players or so.

Do you think I will be killing the selling price if i include,
-Amount of cards
-# of different cards
-# of inserts
-Year Range
-Amount of duplicates
-Scan of top 9 Cards in the lot

I think with a master list, you can get away w/ 2 pictures: the top 9 cards, and then a digital photo of everything. but i if you're investing the sorting time, you need to invest the listing time, otherwise you're selling the job short.

I've been thinking about doing this too. I've thought about keeping them team specific. What do you do with a guy like Johnny Damon or Gary Sheffield who have been on multiple teams? (Damon Red Sox lot, Damon Yankees lot, etc.) And what do you start them at?

Starting price is tough. I will likely start the bigger names at $.99, because I know they will sell, but a 100 card lot of a smaller name, I will start at $4.99 probably.

Hive,

You might be right on either showing each card, or typing it out.

There was a 150 count ichiro lot that got $34...

Check out this auction

ichiro lot - nice ending price

In the first post you have the Mariano Rivera lot selling for $550. I just saw the last post and see that it is actually $5.50. I nearly **** my pants when I saw $550
