Adam Lind is quietly having a break out year and is still really young (25 years old only).

Hard to imagine a season like this is getting overlooked but Prince Fielder right now is at:

.306/26/92 and .306/.426/.599 for those who want to look a little deeper.

He's on pace for: .309/41/143

Throw in the fact that he won the HR Derby and I'm shocked he's gotten basically no press, but the Prince is raking!!

Don't think anyone is having a season close to that and getting overlooked (obviously Pujols has been better, but no one overlooks Pujols.) Who else is getting overlooked?

First person I thought of when I saw this thread.

In fact, I said the same thing 2 weeks ago :http://freedomcardboard.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=53035

If we're gonna say this about Prince, you might as well say the same thing about Braun. Pretty solid numbers yet again from the guy.
Braun has been great as well, but Prince is on pace for around 10 more homers, 30 more RBI, and a whole bunch more runs as well due to his better OBP. This year he has been insane.

Mark Reynolds, hands down. Upton gets all the love but this guy has like 30 homeruns!?

Agreed.

.277, 30 HR, 70 RBI, not to mention 18 SB as well, which isn't too shabby.

Agreed on Prince Fielder. I went out and bought a 2006 Bowman Chrome Auto for $24.99 for my PC. I am looking for a fine 9 as well for the PC. He is pretty cheap considering his talent. I know the 06 chromes are a later rookie, but it's his first "bowman chrome rookie auto" and they seem to do well (See Heyward etc.). Amazing how you can get (2) Prince Fielders for the price of (1) Heyward lol.

Maine of course......
Jacoby Ellsbury is having a bit of a resurgence of late. Not sure if it would be considered a "huge" season but he is doing what a leadoff hitter should do and playing great CF.

Although he was an All-Star and got a lot of run early in the season, the love for Greinke really fell off and I blame his team. He had his last win on June 28th when he tied for the lead in Wins at 10 and since then his team has scored a whole 6 runs in those 5 games for an average of 1.2 runs per game in support.

Clayton Kershaw, the numbers he is putting up are insane considering his age, kemp is also have a great year. Mike Young has exceeeded expectations at a new position, Max S. on the diamondbacks, any other team and he has 4-5 more wins. Michael Bourn as well.

I will start off with two pitchers AND teammates:

Javier Vazquez and Jair Jurrjens. Look at the numbers, then get back to me.

I will end with Justin Morneau, who is quietly sitting atop the AL in homers and RBI's and is amongst the leaders in a few other categories.

Yet, he isn't mentioned in ANY MVP talks.

I wish this kid had a better glove to go with the bat I know he can swing.
So he could get more playing time.
Casey McGehee

It's not just the glove. McGehee has been playing through patellar tendonitis for over a month now (so he can't play the field every day), which makes what he is able to contribute even more impressive.

24 years old (3rd full season, broke Ernie Banks Rookie SS HR record in 07)....

.268, 19 HR, 51 HR, .989 F% (5 errors in 441 Total Chances)

....only appeared in 3 products in his TRUE RC year....no love....

I'll second this. Tulo is a fantastic ballplayer.

I also have to shout out to Huston Street. He is shutting down the ninth for the Rockies right now.

If Miguel Montero keeps hitting like he has been since Snyder got hurt he should be in this conversation real soon.
