Kinda long read, but anyways, here it goes...

I had a large amount of auctions end last night and a user bought 10 items.

After the auction ended, I got this email:

Hello again. We just sent payment for these cards, please let us know that you saw our notes about shipping to our ebay address. Looking foward to doing lots of business in the future !

I did not see a note anywhere in regards to the shipping address, or any other requests.

I'm thinking alright a repeat customer. I checked Ebay and Paypal for the address and the address was the same on both.

I print the label, pull the cards, and get them ready to go. Trying to impress the buyer with quick shipping.

I also had to clean up some feedback, so I proceeded to leave feedback for everyone that paid for their auctions, including the few that paid last night.

So I get this message this morning from the buyer:

WOW, are you kidding? We only asked you for two things and you have ALREADY screwed us by leaving feedback, even after we specifically asked for you to NOT leave feedback. We are NOT HAPPY at all. Hopefully you will at least mail the cards to the right address. I guess we won't be doing any further business with you. Thanks for nothing

Are you kidding me? Needless to say, I won't have to worry about any further business because they are now added to my blocked bidder list.

I have yet to respond, but will keep it business like.

EDIT FOR UPDATE:

Received this email from the account holder:

Eddie, I would like to apologize for the confusion. It looks like my wife did NOT send the right email to the right person. This appears to be 100% her fault. Please go ahead and mail the cards and thank you. I do apologize for the rude "tone" of her last email. Take care and ty again.

Sorry, but this is why you shouldn't let other people, even your wife, in to your business.

Here is my reply (edited for address):

To begin with, I'm sorry that you aren't happy with my service.

I did not see an email from you (neither in my email nor my Ebay mailbox) asking to NOT leave feedback. I went back through both and still did not see it.

In regards to the shipping address, the only address that I saw on Ebay or Paypal is as follows:

EDIT: Mailing Address

This is the same address that is on Paypal.

Unfortunately I am not able to ship to an address other than that provided by Paypal. This is in order to cover myself in case of charge backs.

Again, I'm sorry for your dissatisfaction.

If you would rather not complete the transaction, I will give you a full refund and we will end the transaction.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Eddie
C&E Auctions

The funny thing is that the first thing I thought of when I got the first email was that yahoo that was on here a month or so back (can't remember his name) that was paying for items with other people's paypal and asking to ship to other mailing addresses.

Bidder blocked. Cards will go out today.

Should I be concerned with chargeback with the buyer saying "I didn't get the cards"?

Paypal seller protection requires you to ship to the addy on file w/paypal, so you should be fine as long as the DC scans/shows ‘delivered.’

Btw, did you check your paypal notes section? Buyers often leave notes there and they don’t always show up for sellers

Guess that person won’t buy from me b/c I ‘screw’ buyers + leave fb automatically when buyers pay LOL

I like when people talk about themselves as us instead of using I. We know it sounds better when people send messages to us on the internet.

If you didn't put them in the mail yet, void the old label and print out a new one that includes signature confirmation and insurance. I guess it depends on the total sale price if it's worth spending the few extra bucks.

Any time a buyer asks for a different address I just say "In order to maintain the buyer and seller protection agreement through ebay and paypal I'm obligated to ship to the address on file". I've lost track if this is necessary any more but it's one less headache I might have to potentially deal with. OR, if someone requests a different address I'll offer them the option of paying with a check or money order. If you pay me by an means other than paypal I'll ship to Mars if you want.

But even with Sig Confirmation and insurance, the buyer can still do an "item not as described" or something.

Please don't mention that again. It makes me sick every time I hear about it. On second thought, post his ebay ID again.

This is why years ago, late 1800's to early 1900's it was illegal for women to us the internet. Just a little piece of true history for you.
