You guys crack me up. Report this, do that. Shilling happens all the time. Get over it. Bid the highest amount you would give for the card and so be it.

The bidder in question does have 96% bidding in the last month with this seller so it does look a little suspicious.

i think what he is saying is that we as a community believe our value to the collecting hobby as a whole is more important than it actually is! now i may also be assuming here but i think he is also saying that there are so many more cases of shill bidding than we the cops of ebay catch that we should just punch in what we feel comfortable bidding an move on.

my opinion is if its something i plan on bidding on and i notice a violation i will report it... if i dont plan on bidding on it and i come here and make a large thread about the morals and ethics of people on ebay i am just trolling. either looking for a fight or sayinghow cool i really am. same with fake patch threads. now asking if something is being shilled or if a patch is fake is different of course.

You are correct! Money is king and ebay loves money but this guy should at least be a little more discreet about it.

Heaven forbid something happen to someone you love and the witnesses refuse to "rat" or "snitch". What would you attitude be then?

57 posts and acting like this, this one is going to be a gem. And a word of advice shill bidder, if you dont like people telling you what to do dont turn around and then tell people what to do. BTW whats your ebay id? I would like to know who I wont be dealing with at all in the future.

If something happens to my family I handle it. I have more faith in me than our government or judicial system. You may not agree, but that is what makes (or used to make) this country great, that we are all welcome to our own opinions.

And back to the original post, if the poster wanted to report it to Ebay fine, but coming here to tell others to RAT makes him a RAT.

My solution is to use an auction sniper, put in the highest bid you're willing to pay. ;)

Same thing BigRedmachine said. Put in your max bid, or snipe, that you are willing to pay and that's that. I agree with reporting known shillers, but I don't see the need to come here and start a thread over it. Report it if that's what you feel is needed, bid/don't bid and move on. No need to try and rally the troops.
