I gave Knuckles a few changes, and this is the final...

Do you like the final better or the first better?
Don't worry, Your opinion won't change my mind

I also had him soften the "9" a little.

how much did he charge to make the ichiro?

he can disclose if he wishes...very reasonable..suggest others take advantage of his talent....but only after i am done with him (grin)...

I have incoming from knuckles for dimaggio, rickey, and ted williams, but will use 200lbhockey for future, including ichiro, hank aaron, willie mays, and mickey mantle...maybe others?? (less expensive, shipping, PLUS FCB Member :D )

An ichiro patch auto like this would probably sell for $1000+ if made by UD...my entire cost will be only about $300. I would hate to think what a patch auto of ted williams would sell for, and not look nearly as nice!

Simply amazing, both designs look fantastic. I wish my custom skills were 1/3rd of what knuckles are. I've had the pleasure of talking with him awhile back about his customs and he was very helpful with helping me out and giving advice.

I would second that, and ask if you wouldn't mind putting me in touch with him if you get a chance.

He does great work doesn't he...got to give me some credit too...i provided the ball, ichiro scan, a lot of the verbage, and the 262 from other card...but I am definetely not the artist :D

It seems like there may be some confusion here.

Just to clarify, Knuckles is doing the Ted Williams card, and I am doing the Ichiro custom.

Anyone interested in more information regarding my customs, feel free to PM me.

I would change the word "jersey" to "patch".
Just my 2 cents :D

I think jersey sounds more "vintage"

The top williams looks better with the bolder "9", but the bottom one with the batting average stat looks better than the hof induction year.

It's a unique way of doing the cut, but the jaggedy cutout on the Williams is very distracting from the overall design. I understand the reasons why its done this way so no explanation needed. Just my opinion. But I do like look of it with the tan font.

The Ichiro is nice. Good work, Mike.

Thank you kind sir. I can't wait for him to show off the final "built" card.

It's funny, I didn't think that the '9' popped TOO much, until someone else mentioned it, and once they did, it bugged me...the power of persuasion! I also forgot how much I hated the jagged lines when I first saw one, until a few here said they didn't like them. It's funny how the power of persuasion works. All I know, is no matter how you slice it (pun intended), it looks a heck of a lot better and a LOT less expensive than a Topps would be.

PS- i think the color of the '9' now matches the color of the patch more, which was a bonus ;)
