Posey down in High A ball to work on defense right

Well why during games is he DHing? he DH today and have seen it many times in the box scores!

He got hit with a pitch on his arm while he was catching so they are having him DH to make sure the arm doesn't get worse from catching or something like that.

I agree, the Giants need offense, and while I don't agree with much of how Sabean likes to run things, there is something to be said for developing talent. One of the few bright spots in the line-up the past two season has been Bengie, they should spend a ton of money to resign him and let Posey develope. If not, you run the risk of Posey not being able to handle a fantastic staff and never living up to his potential as a hitter. Remember Bochy used to be a catcher, I'm sure if they thought Posey was close to MLB ready he'd be alot higher in the chain, they have no reliable back ups at catcher on the Major League roster.

Giants, please leave him where he is, don't let his head get inflated and PLEASE re-sign Bengie, let the future be the future and be realistic about winning now. Bengie has been the best hitter HR and RBI wise for a couple of years and he's great with the staff and a good defensive catcher. Good catchers are hard to come by, let Posey stay in the minor until he's ready and then make a trade or use Posey as a back-up until Bengie's contract runs out.

I agree with Bengie, he is such a good defender (and hitter too) and calls a great game. Not sure if I want posey to call timmys game quite yet!
