Would Derrick Favors be a good choice for a player collection? I hear a lot of talk that he has huge upside and could be a future superstar. Thoughts?

He looks to have a lot of potential and is relatively cheap at the moment so in that respect he would be a good choice. The other side of this is that Utah is a pretty poor hobby market so if you are interested in a potential collection appreciating in value that would put you at a disadvantage.

Thanks for the reply. Not worried about making money at all. I like Rubio and Blake Griffin but both are out of my price range. I know Favors is no Griffin, but I think he has the potential to put up double double games and as we both agree is relatively cheap. I just don't want to start a collection and have it wind up being a scrub lol. I once thought Marvin Williams was going to be great. I don't want a player like that.

One other player you might consider is James Harden. He is going up a bit now but is still pretty affordable and is going to have a large role on one of the better teams in the league.

Marvin Williams is playing a little better this year and he is only 25. Don't write him off just yet. He is a solid player

A little more expensive but I've been thinking about maybe colle ting Kevin Love. Or less expensive Michael Beasley. Just don't think I like Beasley's attitude most nights. He has the ability to score 30 any night but puts up 12 and sits on the bench pouting.

Agreed. And if he ever becomes that star player of his own team, 25-30 points nightly will be a cakewalk for him.

I agree. I have been watching him lately. Good stats coming off the bench. And only going to be 23 years old.

Also just a heads up...If you need to be told who to collect...the collection will never work. You'll prob lose interest half way into it.
Just pick a player or 2 that you really like.

Agreed.

Is there anyone else who collects "Pogo" Joe Caldwell?

So far the players I really like in all sports are Kevin Love, James Harden and Miguel Cabrera. Will choose one. On a very tight collecting budget and want it to be more about fun than money.
