Another thing regarding the original video. If this guy had no clue whatsoever about fake patches to begin with, why then did he have them graded by PSA and CONSTANTLY mention in the video how they are valid and clearly authentic. Why wouldnt they be authentic if there was no such thing as fake patches....just another thing that makes me believe he is faking them himself.

I actually thought that, too. For someone who is so "oblivious" to the faking from these sets, why does he go above and beyond reason to make sure that he says "they have to be authentic" ?

I just finally watched the videos for the first time. 2 things stand out to me:

1. In the original video, he mentions several times that DLP didn't care or pay attention to the numbering on the cards. Makes me wonder, was he already suspecting at that point that some of them may be faked? or as others have suggested was he getting ready to unload his own creations and perhaps solicit offers by giving out his email address?

2. The lady screaming in the second video. To me this is the best evidence that he ISN'T the creator of these cards or one of Burge's cronies. An extremely cranky wife in the background would be expected if she had recently found out her husband has been blowing thousands on forged items. Either that or he lives with his mom

There's a huge inconsistency in the Marlins patch video he posted...

He says "I bought X cases in 2005 from Don at AZ Sports in Avondale Arizona."

In 2005, Don was not AZ Sports, and his store was called Tailgate Sports which was located at 99th ave and McDowell...which I believe is in Tolleson, AZ.

I used to have a booth in his store.

Don did not become AZ Sports and move to, roughly, 100th ave and Camelback until about 2 years ago, which would be 2008.

So, this guy was able to buy the cases from a store that wasnt open in 2005?

He may be using the stores current name, but, why not say "I bought the cases from Tailgate Sports, which is now AZ Sports, back in 05"?

Personally, I think he's lying now

Is it possible he's trying to make it seem like he's living in AZ by grabbing a random AZ dealer name and throwing it out? He stated in the other video that he lives in Lake Havasu, but his name and email (Scott Goodman) are tied to an eBay account for a sports store in North Carolina (where he says he has "2 buddies").

This would be my guess as well.

If I dropped some dough on 4 cases, I would remember the name of the place I bought it at...especially because that stuff wasnt cheap If I remember right

I'm not overly convinced one way or the other about the store/location change. As far as his 2 "buddies".....its 50/50 that these buddies may also be guys he hangs around because they have him convinced that they're totally awesome dudes that help him "find" all these awesome patches, he thinks these guys are the schiz, when in reality they're working him for some serious cash

This guy clearly knew what fake patches were, as he always mentioned how these were clearly authentic etc etc in his original video. From that there can really only be two options........

1) He was somehow involved with the making of these cards

2) He bought all of these over the years thinking they were actually legit. He then finds out they are not legit and is siper pissed. He wants to get his money back, so he makes a youtube video in hopes people will PM him and buy these siper cards off of and he can recoup some of the thousands he blew.

Also,

If you stop the video at 1:50, you can see between the two orange seams on the patch, that there looks to be an air pocket of some sort

I doubt DLP would let a patch #1/4 go with a defect like that.

Maybe im wrong, but I looked at that still-frame for a few minutes and It looks like an air pocket from the patch being inserted

This guy just gets more and more weird. First, he took down the "I pulled this Preston Wilson" video.

And second, here are his two most recent responses, one on each of his videos.

Actually Tuff Stuff is interseted in doing an article on my situation. PSA is in a big mess over this. i have been in contact with them over the last few days and they are in CYA mode. The first part of the grading process is to determine if the card is authentic and that no form of tampering in visible. If a card has been altered in? any way the card gets rejected and the appropriate N designation is given, and the card returned ungraded. They screwed up bigtime. This is going to get interesting

Let me explain in simple terms. I prefer these cards over plain one color patch cards any? day. I enjoy the beauty of the card as it is now and appreciate as art, crafted by an artist who took the time to create something more beautiful than the original. It is similar to someone who collects modern company made collector patches and letterman cards. My cards if altered, they were done so well that PSA did not reject them. I don't care if the patches are original, the cards are, and the look cool
So which is it? :benson:

He probably pulled the Wilson video because I caught his lie about where he got them from (as Im sure he reads this thread)

The dude is lying and got caught, and is now trying to backpeddle everything and it isnt working.

I changed the title of the thread as to promote a positive environment for any collectors that were coming to FCB for the first time, we all have our own descriptions for the guy, no sense insulting him on here...

As much of a wank as this guy may be, how come no one has mentioned that between his Pay Pal and eBay records and the cards he's sitting on, he has a MOUNTAIN of evidence to go after these patch fakers. I would guess that at least half have to be N.C. jobs or other well-known fakers. On top of that, he basically has a chit with PSA that he could use to FORCE then to admit that they are fakes, putting another voice to the prosecuting side of this.

I would hope that someoen, anyone, can convince this guy to go the proper authorities, even his local DA, and get the ball rolling.

So, again, that might be another reason not to piss all over his cereal and make him dissappear with what amounts to damning evidence.

Unless of course he created these himself (most of them anyway)...then I'm pretty sure he's not gonna want to go to the authorities! :D
