All those who were scammed by Haiku need to reach out to Cardcop. He is the only one who can bring this swindler to justice.

I think we need a law for baseball card restrictions so nobody ever gets ripped off again. That will stop all the evil doers in the world.

If anyone wants on update on the damage this guy did...early estimates were around 20-25K...

Now it is confirmed one member sent 11K in total unreceived
Another member confirmed 9K in total unreceived
A third member claimed 5K ON ONE ITEM unreceived

Two other members (suspected of being linked to Haiku, one of them I'm almost positive isn't one of them very well might be) also are claiming 10K and 8K respectively. That isn't counting A TON of posters who have spent anywhere between $250 and $1700 on a single one of those lots and I know some bought multiple lots...so the total is pretty astounding

What I can't believe is if you have 11K to waste on a mystery lot, why not go buy 4-5 absolute stunners on eBay and give yourself a merry christmas. I'm all for surprises in the $200-$400 dollar range but $11K worth of surprises, no thanks lol

People are just idiots.... $11k on a mystery lot?!?!? Seriously?!?! Say that out loud a few times in your office "I sent someone on a blog or community board $11,000 cash for a MYSTERY LOT"

And Haiku could've just sent him a bunch of 1990 Topps and there was nothing that guy could've done about it

I think people should have to pass an I.Q. test before being able to purchase cards on BO

This is true, why wouldn't he just send something and then vanish... at least he could hang his hat on that he sent something... delivery confirm and all... that'd make those idiots think twice next time.

Yep.

Mentioned it above, Haiku could have just used sig confirmation on every package and sent a ton of commons.

Since the transactions were done off eBay, they dont offer the same protection and would have, more than likely, sided with the seller.

However, after the flood of claims come in, im guessing paypal would have frozen his account.

But let's be honest, if this guy is as good a scammer as advertised, he would have delayed shipping a few days so he could transfer all the money out of paypal and into his bank. After that, he would close his paypal account. By the time the claims come in and people collectively realize they've been had his accounts are closed and money is gone while paypal is left to deal with the aftermath; which would probably entail telling people they took the risk buying off eBay and would not be covered.

I dont know why he chose to just disappear unless he is leaving the country for good.

I like how that scumbag- WilsonValdez is all over the thread speaking of his "sleuthing" skills. WilsonValdez is just a big of a scumbag as Haiku is. Your reputation follows you around the internet forever.. no matter how long it has been. Anyone want details? pm me!

I also like this quote from him on another thread.

"Although the last part about him actually going to Hong Kong is up in the air, the rest I would stake my reputation on"

The repuation for being an obnoxious troll that thrusts himself into every bit of drama on those boards?

It does not surprise me in the least that this idiot has multiple posts in just about every Haiku thread over there!

And to me, you'll always be Mr. Fist. What were their names again?
