You guys are fortunate to have found cards you need outside Burbank. There's a $47 card in their store that I never seen outside.

I paid $213.50 for my Yount 2000 GotG auto SP. I know Burbank had one for $400+

Can't find it now; hope some poor idiot didn't buy it.

FWIW, I've seen many "steals" come from Burbank as well, but only on higher end rare stuff. Things like mid 90's inserts of Griffey, Nomo, etc.
I bought one card last fall from them for $300 and sold it for $450 a week later.

GGGRRR, I'll play along.....

I paid $3 for the 2001 Ult. Signature Ryan Klesko copper auto (#'d to 70)- this card

I paid 95% less than they are asking! Burbank has it listed for $58.80

http://cgi.ebay.com/01-Ultimate-Coll-Si ... dZViewItem

They want $36.75 for the base auto (#'d to 150) http://cgi.ebay.com/2001-Ultimate-Coll- ... dZViewItem which is the last card I need to finish my base set. I figure it is a $3 card as well and they won't budge.

I have not ever seen this card listed on EBAY other than with Burbank.

It's hilarious to search for a scrub like Jason Jennings.... they want $20 for cards that routinely go through ebay for 99 cents with no bids. :?

To be fair, they're probably using the set the cards are in to justify the pricing rather than the player here.

I know the reason for the spike in 90's inserts last year resulted in them purchasing a very large, private collection and they were quick to list and make money.

A large collector died in Hawaii, Burbank paid 900K for the multi-million dollar collection. They have far since broken even and everything else is gravy, so why budge on prices when they dont have to. I mean look at the cards they listed, tons of rare stuff, either you buy their are potentially go without.

I paid there prices on some VHTF cards and would do it again if they come up with the last 4 I need.

That's what it was, thanks George. I agree, I purchased a purple Crusade from them because it was the first to pop up in over 3 years, and I have yet to see another one show up. Do I regret it? Nope, but I definitely won't be buying regular singles from them.
