What do you guys think Harpers autos will do assuming they make the playoffs and win a series or two assuming he doesn't suck, but doesnt do anything stellar

If he keeps playing like he is now, there wont be any impact.

I think they were closer to 350-500, I think the base barely got up past $300.

If the Angels get in as a wildcard team I wonder what insane prices Trout will get to. Hopefully Harper will get hot during the last month of the season and into the playoffs. I was hoping Strasburg making the playoffs would get him back to the same levels his autos where at pre-surgery prices, but looks like him getting shut down will probably hurt his cards again.

He could hit .150 the rest of the season. If he pulls a Carlos Beltran, BJ Upton, David Freese, Nelson Cruz, or Mike Napoli in the playoffs, his cards are going explode (again).

He has more Ks this month than hits. Assuming he's unable to adjust this year, he won't be a starter come playoff time and would be a role player at best. This will drive investors who know about cards away, especially if there's another 'big thing' out there.

Of course there's always NEXT year, but its tough to catch a boat that's sailed away. In any case, it will be fun to watch.

Agreed. Unlimited potential if he goes off in the playoffs. The only thing that I can think of that would surpass a strong Harper playoff performance would be if they were to bring Strasburg back after shutting him down and if he were to absolutely dominate.

After reading this thread, I might start tracking Harper prices. If they go down enough, I might actually buy.

Bryce Harper has now played as a 19 year old exactly as many games as Mantle did at the same age (albeit with 36 more plate appearances). He has 2 fewer HRs, the same amount of walks, 11 more Ks, a .060 lower OPS, 5 more SB, the same amount of 3B, 5 more 2B, with an OPS+ of 19 less than Mantle's. 19 yr old Mantle had a WAR of 1.3, Bryce has one of 2.0 (BBR).

At age 19, JD Drew was a Freshman All-American at FSU. Good, but still a college freshman inflating his stats against the likes of Winthrop, Mercer, Maryland, Minnesota and FAU.

I own all of one Bryce Harper Bowman Chrome auto so he is hardly my meal ticket. But come on. JD Drew? Way too early. Am I saying he is the next Mantle? no, but he isn't far off...at this point.

Of course, Tony Conigliaro is smoking him at this point...

Ya I pulled a ref auto a few weeks ago and I hadn't looked at his prices in a while and was surprised how cheap they were

As I said before, all he has to do is hit .300 with 2 or 3 bombs in one series and they will take off. If he pulls a David Freese, they will reach new, unforseen heights.

I could see him ending the year with around .270-275 if he keeps his last couple weeks up
