I purchased Cyan plate of a bowman prospect. While I was doing my daily search, I noticed another Cyan plate up as a listing. However, this one does not have a reversed image. I was under the impression that there were only one type of four plates? Are there now, reversed counterparts for a total of eight?

So does that make 8 bowman 1/1s?

base cards are printed on stock, theyre reversed as the printing process mirrors the plate. the chromes are printed differently, im not sure of the exact process, but id imagine that theyre printed on the "back" of clear plastic, which is then stuck to stock somehow, which would explain why the plated vary between the 2 types of cards

I did not know that. You've been thanked. Appreciate it.

(I'm officially off from plates that are not AU).
