This Stadium Club is interesting because the preview is done landscape, but the regular is portrait.

Does this count as a "promo"? I wish I had the real deal...

Wow. Some of those dont look much different than the regulars. How would you tell em apart if it didnt have "Sample" written on em?

Here is another example of the 1997 Pinnacle Melting Pot ( Ordonez ), I'm not sure how many different players are in the set but mine is marked 000/500 on the back .

I believe they are all marked 000/500. And I'm fairly certain I've seen at least one copy of each player in the set. I've encountered more Jose Guillens than any other.

Could you tell me the difference between the unmarked promos above and the reg. issue?

The promo pair shown above uses the 1992-dated Upper Deck hologram. The pack-issued version use the 1993-dated type.

1992 type: pattern of UD diamond logo dated 1992 - no writing overprint

1993 type: pattern of UD diamond logo dated 1993 - "Upper Deck" pattern overprint

Just picked up a Palmeiro Melting Pot sample on COMC, it is indeed marked 000/500 on the back. Got mine very cheap, so these must not be too hard to find (that or I got a spectacular deal).
