This is my first time to be scammed, how does the chargeback process work? Do we get our money back?

Glad I got busy this week! Tweetingbear called me and left a message wanting to work out some deals, call came from Canton OH and his name was James if that helps anyone and he is batman1.

So what happens with the paypal chargeback? Do i get my money back? How does this type of scam make someone money? Aren't the funds taken out of their bank account eventually?

I knew $65 for a Profar auto and Rendon auto was too good to be true. Glad I trusted my gut and passed.

For his batman1 scam, his name paypal address was was [email protected]. Though paypal ID'ed him as "Michael Knight", his gmail account had "Brian Knight" attached to it.

Guess I should have noticed. The 'Hoff isn't into cards.

If you got scammed by tweetingbear, that IP address goes back to a Kent University computer/connection. Defrauding people from University property is pretty serious business.

Just got an email from this dude. Apparently he got cofused and thought I posted the phone number:

I had bought a Ryan Braun 05 Bowman Chrome Draft Autograph for $75 and he kept saying that he was going to ship it and he messed up shipping it but it was going out soon.

Anyways, I filed a paypal chargeback and got my money back the other day. We agreed on this deal June 15th and I filed a paypal claim on July 9th. I got my money back July 30th I believe.

Stay away from this guy.

mightydog1 has an IP address that also comes back to computer on the Kent State University at Stark campus. Here are the users who have had similiar IP addresses:

Only question I have is how does he make any profit if we all file paypal claims seems to be a pretty stupid and pointless crime to me?

It's a shame since that website is nicer than about 90% of the websites for legit brick and mortar card shops.
