So what is the likelihood that the 3rd party sabotages your order / cards?

The carriers (UPS, FedEx or USPS) can damage product and the 3rd party could mishandle or whatever - seems a bit too much trust is needed....
Thoughts?

In this particular case I trust the third party completely. Phillip (masonphillip) has been running the FCB group sub for a long time. Though I've personally only sent him maybe half a dozen cards total, there are guys here who sub dozens of cards each month. You won't have to worry about this.
