Puig Tier One Crowd Pleaser Auto

So, a friend of mine was lucky enough to pull the card mentioned in the title. He listed it on Ebay and sold it within 10 minutes BIN for $700. There were none listed at the time and have been none listed since pulling the card over a week ago.

The buyer emailed him upon receiving the card and said that he had redeemed the card with Topps, at which point Topps' system came back with "card does not exist". The buyer was contacting Topps CS today about this, but my friend has not yet heard back from the buyer concerning what Topps said.

What are your thoughts? There was no mention of numbering anywhere on the redemption. Obviously, it has to be low since not another has been listed on Ebay. How much did he leave on the table selling it at $700?

new products are never in topps system at time of release, cmon that would be actual work.
usually takes 2 weeks. 700 was plenty

With the track record Topps has of taking their sweet time filling a redemption or simply not filling one at all.....

Because the card will never be live?

Puigs' Bowman redemption auto barely topped out at like $900 or $1000.

He did fine, but, I wouldnt have listed it at that price. I would have listed at well over $1000 with a best offer.

Still, that's a pretty penny for a card that will never be made and be replaced with a matt harvey tier one auto

By then, there will be a new hot propect, and a hundred new products come and gone with thousands more puig "autos", including newer ones that will start to have live autos in them. (2013 Bowman Chrome?)

I doubt that card gets $700+ cuz it wont be live for a while.

I'm not defending topps I'm just saying people maybe hoping for quick turnaround time.

That's the only Puig card in the set...provably SPd from 10-25.
