ebechols said:After reading this article and hearing more about how he wants to retire with a team, and after negotiating that 10 year personal services contract succeeding the 10 year player contract, I can completely understand his decision making process. I also believe that because of the new contract that when he is elected into the hall of fame that he will go in as an Angel, not a Cardinal. It really sounds like he wants to stay with the team that most wants him, and the Angels obviously offered him what he wanted.
I listened to about 10 minutes of the interview. That article seems to have taken what she said about the organization and what happened and removed what she her statement about religion and God. There was a whole lot in the interview about God and that likely turned some people off.. Personally I thought it was a bit much for a radio interview, though my guess is that it was a Christian station (based on what I heard) so I understand why it was that way.Hullfan said:I guess this article fixed it for her to make her look less stupid

"It just didn't work out," Deidre Pujols said. "The offers that people have seen on television, I'm going to tell you what .... had that offer been the one that was given to us, with guarantee, we would have a bird on the bat. ...

I bet that would have something to do with being given a "free will".
I believe the interview was done on a christian radio station, actually one that the Pujols family helped bankroll so I'm sure their was a lot about what God has done for them included in the discussion.

Mad at God. 5 years $130m ($26 MILLION a year) is an insult.
Are you serious, bro?
MacK said:And I'm actually not bitter at all, I'm tired of Cardinals fans freaking out about Albert being gone, and being so upset with it. I was perfectly fine the day he signed, and I still am. There's nothing you can do about it, he's gone. The team's still in good shape.
