Pujols feeling pressure from MLBPA

Cardinals manager Tony La Russa says Pujols is feeling pressure from the Players Association to sign a massive deal, according to ESPN.com's Jayson Stark (on Twitter). La Russa says it's more than arm-twisting. He argues that the union is "dropping an anvil on [Pujols'] back through [the] roof of his house."

Does Albert not think a 5 year, $30 mil per contract at the age of 31 would be a nice precedent for other players?

I dont see how someone like Pujols thinks a signing like this will help the Cardinals two years down the road when they cant sign anybody to protect him. Hard to like Pujols right now.
