So sorry to burst your bubble tony but i am trying to figure out why the ********** at beckett think one is worth more than the other when the lower guy is clearly better not here to start a new york uproar just trying to give credit where it is due

I know you are just fishing for Jeter fans to raz, but why would it even matter if his cards sold for more anyway? Who cares? If people want to put money into a really good if not great player, why does it matter to you so much? His stuff sells for high prices... deal with it.

You clearly stated that you wanted to get an uproar.
And the answer is pretty obvious, one guy plays in New York and won several championships and one guy plays in St. Louis and won one championship. And yes, anyone who thinks Derek Jeter is better than Albert Pujols is OBVIOUSLY a "****** bag".

Yeah...I gotta agree this was senseless.

Jeter has rookie cards that are way over produced. They will not be able to hold a candle to what Pujols commands. Now you want to be fair...try comparing Pujols to A-Rod's rookies and see where you end up.They are both power hitters. And A-Rods are overproduced but they still fetch quite a pretty penny.Compare any of his base rookies to Pujols since they are similiar players as far as hitting and see the difference.

Jeter's cards get a lot of love because of the new york fanbase. And it does stretch further than New York you know. There are plenty of people who collect his stuff even down here.Thats why it is so high.

No need to bring up the argument of performance versus card prices. We all know that doesn't work.It only works if a player gets hot and his stuff rises.Other than that...even then it does not always reflect his ability.

The fact that a superfractor of an unproven mlb player goes for thousands should tell you this much.

Beckett supposedly goes on what the cards sell for.Your basically calling anyone who buys a Jeter card for that price or an Pujols for that price a *********.They are worth what people pay for them end of story.

Because there are more Jeter fans and yankee fans who want Jeter cards. They are willing to pay higher prices.More people wanting more cards equals higher price.Supply and demand or what I like to call greed and demand.

The real shat is that jeters cards are worth more than albert's

Not ROOKIE stuff... and I'm sure it has a lot to do with the fact that he's on the most popular team in baseball history and has helped his team to 4 World Series victories. Popularity is what sells more cards, not skills...

And when popularity outpaces skills and production, that's called being overrated.

This is one of the easiest answers ever in a poll... it should have been... who is a better leader... That may be tough

 My god... even if Jeter helped win another 4 World Series, got to 4,000 hits and was voted into the Hall unanimously, you STILL would continue this charade. WE GET IT ALREADY.

His cards being the most valuable is one of the things leading to the statement that he is overrated. His above-average skill set doesn't justify these top card prices.
