There was a lot of talk after the baseball season ended last year that the sales activity of baseball cards on ebay declined across the board. There was some debate if the slow down was attributable to the economy or the typical slow down during the off season.....and how strong sales would rebound once the season start this year.

Excluding a handful of players off to a red hot start to the season.....how would you classify recent sales of baseball cards in general on ebay?

I'd say they've mostly gone down, especially since this time around last year... I expect that to change though.

For better or worse? And why?

I'd say for the better... the season is finally starting to get into full swing (short seasons will begin soon) and hopefully the economy will find its way in a steady upward trend so people will have a little bit more money in their pockets.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the way the market has been (mostly focusing on RC Auto's of established players.)

I think that the hot starts for Pujols and Miguel Cabrera have really helped, as they've pushed the market on some of the biggest cards in the hobby.
