Agreed.

I would say Vinny Testaverde for 1988, although he was truly a rookie in 87, his rookie card was in 88, just like Cunningham was a rookie in 85 but his rookie card was 87.

86 - Bernie Kosar
96 - Tony Banks (yes, the class sucked that bad as a whole)
97 - Jake Plummer
03 - Tony Romo / Carson Palmer
04 - Eli Manning / Phillip Rivers / Ben Roethlisberger
05 - Aaron Rodgers
08 - Matt Ryan / Joe Flacco
09 - Mark Sanchez

Man this isn't as easy as you'd think - I picked a random year 1990 and went through all the rounds and unless you want to consider Jeff George a good QB.
It looks like the only decent QB picked that year was Neal O'Donnell

And in regards to the post above - you forgot the best QB in the 98 draft.
Henne FTW. ;)

Just went through all 12 rounds of the 92 draft.....looking like another QB FAIL Draft - unless you want to count XFL accomplishments, then you have Tommy Maddox.

Best QB's in 92 were later round picks - Jeff Blake and Brad Johnson

in case it matters - Rich Gannon was drafted in 87

Like I said, I went through 90 and didn't remember seeing him - so I double checked.

Edit - just checked 94 - not much again. Most noteable is probably Trent Dilfer.
Couple good undrafted ones though - Jeff Garcia and Kurt Warner (pre-st. louis and working at the grocery store lol, so I don't think rc's came until later on like 98 or 99 Pacific)

1994 - Jeff Garcia or Trent Dilfer
2002 - David Garrard (yes, bad class again)
2006 - Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Jay Cutler (really not sure who to pick from that :? )
2007 - Kevin Kolb (perhaps). If not, you're looking at Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell

Wow - 96 sucked.

You mine as well leave that one blank.....unless someone drafted earlier had their first card that year.
Seriously the top is a toss up between Tony Banks and Ray Lucas (undrafted).

Unless I missed someone it looked like the best QB taken in 88 was Chris Chandler.

It's kind of interesting going back and looking through these older drafts. In 88 there wasn't even a QB taken in the first two rounds....and the first off the board was Tom Tupa - who then went on to be the Punter.

Best rookie card of 1988 for QBs is Vinny Testaverde. He was drafted in 87, but rookie cards ran after their draft years then, so his rookie is 88. Perhaps I'm biased, but I think he ranks a bit better than Chandler

How everyone has left Kerry Collins off the '95 list is saddening :(
