Wow I just saw some 09 ginter box breaks and they were amazing. Why was 08 ginter so bad? I had an 08 ginter hobby box and it sucked big time I got 2 really lousy jersey cards and nothing else worth while. I see people now are all pulling 3 jerseys and an auto per box with numerous other nice hits.

Yeah, but I mean I got nothing in this hobby box it was a total waste of money. Just really cheap jersey cards (Delwyn Young, Carlos Zambrano).
Man it ruined my christmas
lol I wanted like some dna relic or sick auto, but I guess that is a downturn with collecting you never know what you are going to get. Looks like I got the worst possible though.

I think you answered your question right there. 08 Ginter was horrendous for collectors trying to pull autos. I went through nearly a case and only pulled one auto. I didn't get a rip card or anything. The 08 auto list was a little weak from years past. This year though it seems to be alot better and the hits fall a little better. I think that will boost sales.

Trust me, it could have been worse. I opened a couple of boxes with NO relic or anything in it at all. Its always a gamble. Remember that.

08 Ginter was bad due to the excessive print run.

The first day it came out, a buddy and myself went to a card shop and bought 3 boxes (him buying 2 and myself 1). In these three boxes, there were THREE David Ortiz jersey cards (one per box) along with TWO Dmitri Young jersey cards. We both felt the collation was terrible, although with such a small sample size to go off of, it was probably skewed.

I haven't watched any box breaks but I know my buddy usually likes to drop around $200 on Ginter a year. I don't fully understand why though.
