Someone hit my BIN for a Jair Jurrjens Red Xfractor for 99.99 and paid with an echeck.

When I check paypal it says that the payment will take 3-5 days to clear, and that I am not eligible for seller protection. Is this a legit form of payment or should I be worried?

An E-Check is legit. It takes a few days so don't send it out before payment has cleared..

E-Checks don't take out as much fees as a regular payment..

Ok, thanks for the quick answer. I guess I got a little worried about it because I had no idea what it was.

It happens when the buyer has a debit card on file, but no credit card as a back up. I am in this state currently because the CC I had on file expired, and I haven't added my new one. Sorry sellers! At least I only buy something once every month or so now...

It's good to know they take out less fees! Maybe I'm actually helping these sellers. :)

Not sure if the other guys mentioned it but after the echeck clears you do qualify for seller protection.

What is seller protection????

I only know of Buyer Protection. Its not like Ebay or Paypal will side with a seller - they only side with buyers.

If you have proof of delivery or signature confirmation on items over $250 and send to the paypal confirmed address of the buyer, it helps your cause if there is a problem.
