Question about IP Autos

I have a questions about htis as i am not familiar with it. I know that IP (in person) autos are common but how can one be sure that if someone is offering an IP auto in a trade that the auto is authentic?? i know there are a lot of fakes out there and i am just wondering if there is a way to tell if you dont have a certified auto of the player (Hes a touhg on e to get as it is)
