Question about letter card numbering

Do all companies number their letter cards the same?

For example, I know Bowman Draft letters for Chris Wells are all /12, meaning his name can be collected 12 times. What I am not clear on yet is Donruss Threads. Each letter for Wells is /175....so can his name be put together 175 times...or is the entire lot included in that number and Wells can only be spelled 35 times?

I ask because I think the prices on eBay for the letters are pretty nuts if his name can be collected 175 times. No way those are gonna hold 60-75 dollars each.

I believe in the past the Threads cards were numbered to the entire print run for all letters......so then that would make sense, hopefully someone can let you know for sure though.

The UD products have really been the ones that have had insane printing runs, since they would be numbering each letter separately.

different companies do letterman autograph numbering different ways, and im not sure how donruss does it.

This is what I assumed, after watching a bunch of eBay auctions. Not very easy to put a run of five in a row together....not much easy in this hobby anyway; fun to try I suppose.
