Give him a year or two... He's learning. The O's has decided to keep him to continue pitching rather than shutting him down.

You gotta buy low. I got five Alvarez Golds for around 34.00 a piece and two Lawrie Golds for around 32.00 a piece.

I WILL turn profit on that at some point. Question is how much.....

Metal Base in general should be a blood bath value wise. Wossa drove the value up so high since he wanted what he wanted. If you got parallels at the buy in price low, you can do ok I think, but as far as the ones that went really high people will lose their shirts. David Cooper went for like 46 for the base metal gold and his autographed golds didn't even get 12 each.

All of the base metals were available for $5 plus shipping. The Blues & Gold all varied because they were sold via Dutch Auctions.

I know, I think a lot of money will be lost on them. I have 20 Casey Kelly's out of the 100. I think he was an ok buy, but most guys in general just have to hurt. I like the cards and how they look, but valuewise gotta hurt.

I've sold a handful and have done ok, but nothing to write home about. There just isn't a strong market for them. I recently bought a 3 card lot of Westmoreland Blue Metals for like $10. The print run is 21 cards?!?!?! I'd love to see the turnaround on the cards, but I just don't know. I agree that the Buy ins that were way over the original buy in will be an almost certain loss. It's really sad because they are great looking cards.

On a side note, the base metals do work great for IP Autos. I have a few Aaron Hicks signed and going to get a few Brett Lawrie as well. :D
