Does anyone know if the bat pieces in this set are actually from the game that it says on the front?

Not that it really matters but I was just wondering.

Yes, but this isn't likely a piece of the outside of the bat. It looks like a piece of the cross-section of the bat & has been laser engraved.

With the way trading card companies have been with provenance, just assume the bat chip isn't from the game date noted on the card and have a nice day.
