Does anyone know how scarce the Allen & Ginter's mini cards are that come from inside the rip cards? I imagine it varies year to year due to print runs, but am I correct in assuming that there are less than 100 of each "extended" mini?

As popular as the product is, I figure someone had to have figured this out (or have a rough estimate). I have errands to run right now, so thanks in advance. I'm particularly wondering about last year (2011), if it matters.

Thanks.

Less than a 100. I'd say somewhere between 50-75. The number that ever sees the light of day may be closer to 25 though.

In 2011 there were 4,360 serial numbered Rip cards and 49 EXT player cards. If there were only EXTs in Rip cards your PR is 88.97. Wood, Red Ink, and other 1/1s are inserted into Rips (suppose to be). Total wood is 350 so maybe 1/2 inserted into Rips? 20 Red Ink frameless autos into Rips for a total of 200. If you bring the number of total possibles down to around 3,800 Rip cards with EXT the PR is ~75.

Again, as said before maybe, just maybe, 25 are extracted from RIPs.

Beauty of Ginter and rip cards. A lot of nice cards will stay hidden in rip cards. Does seem they do put a lot of red ink and 1/1 wood cards in higher serial numbered rip cards. So they have a better chance of being pulled.

I believe the only wood minis pulled from the rip cards are parallels of the extended minis, but I could be wrong

I was thinking the same thing, but if that is not the case, then I know where my missing Cuddyer's from 2010 and 2011 may be residing. :(

Is that a question Topps is willing to answer? Try Tweeting them and asking if that is the case, I would but I don't have a Twitter account. And if the wood minis in rip cards are only extended minis, you better start buying cases from those years so you can pull the Cuddys lol
