Do you have any concerns when putting an autographed card into a screwdown holder that the holder will mess up the autograph, like the pressure will cause the autograph to stick to the holder? I'm trying to gauge whether I should stick to the penny sleeve & top loader. Thanks.

I often wonder the same. To be on the safe side, I have stuck with penny sleeves and toploaders....

I spoke to a card shop owner and he told me that some people bring in cards that have been in screw downs for years. He said he's seen cards get damaged by people when they remove them from from the screw down after so long. Part of the card gets stuck to the screw down. I just stick to sleeves and top loaders.

Depends on which screw down they use..

The older slabs would cause the card to basically get squished, whereas the newer ones have space like the one touches..

You can always cut a sleeve to the size of a card and sandwich the card in between those first
