Question regarding to Refractors (not Bowman Chrome)

A friend of mine asked me this question and I was stumped... Hope one of you guys could help me/ my friend:

Topps Diamond Anniversary Refractor
Topps Diamond Anniversary Platinum Refractor

What's those Topps Sparkle - are these refractors?

I am no Topps expert. Any help would be appreciated!

From what I can tell looking at the sell sheet, the silver "sparkle" cards are "Platinum Diamond" as pictured below. Therefore, the regular refractor looking foil cards are "Diamond Anniversary".

Also, neither of them are actually called refractors, as they aren't chrome.

'Sparkles' is a term usually applied to a rare parallel set in the 2011 Topps set, both series. Certain players have a tiny little 'sparkle' added to the picture, like the light shining off a diamond. See here: http://www.mytoppscards.com/sparkles.htm

This has gotten me stumped, but I think I understand it. No wonder I don't collect this Topps and Lineage!
