Guys, you know how baseball america puts out an almanac and prospect guide for baseball. Well is there something similiar for hockey? Just curious.

Not exactly similar, but Hockey News puts out a Future Watch issue, and a fairly extensive Draft Preview each year. There are a few more minor sites around. I am just heading out the door, but I will put some links up for you later today if no one beats me to them.

There isn't anything similar to Baseball America for hockey in terms of scope. You'll have to bounce around to some different sources to check things out.

Beckett used to dedicate one of their monthly mags to the rookies in hockey but I'm not sure if they still do. It wasn't that good anyway but it at least was something.

Like mentioned above, the Hockey News comes out with its "Future Watch" issue each year that rates each teams top ten (maybe more) prospects. It is similar to the BA prospect book. The new issue comes out each year in January or February. Here is the digital issue of the 2009 version, there is still a lot of good info in the 2009 version.
