This thread tickles my funny bone because a couple of the posters have hounded me to help them get deals done for about the same money.

Also, LOL at bigmac "i drove to maryland and waited outside a guys house for hours" mcgwire and his comment on a lack of patience.

Any, this guy needed to hit the brakes a little but a deal is a deal, regardless of value.

There can't possibly be less intellect and maturity in a group of people than there is in online baseball card traders.

A whole dollar? Clearly, your generosity knows no bounds. Why even mention this unless you're scrambling to find crumbs which support your position?

A dollar is worth fighting for! Why, I remember going to the all day movie show for one straw penny! And that included a Coca Cola and a Zagnut!

Actually you should have shipped the card(s) promptly, waiting 5 days or more to send your side of a deal is crap. $1 card, $8 card, or $1000 card. Guy may not be the brightest bulb but you shouldn't get any kudos. And you making a "ohh someone's stalking me" post makes you look even more stupid.
You want sympathy for not promptly sending you end of a deal? Is that what I am hearing?

And this is assuming he even sent the cards seeing that DC was not used.

But yes, I agree that this whole thread was full of win...

I agree with what youre saying but Brennan isnt asking for sympathy.

Brennan is sharing a story where a trade over about $10 goes awry for Brennan and said trader after trader attempts to contact Brennan through email, facebook, phonebook, mother, employer, and possibly past girlfriends, because Brennan didnt ship possibly on the agreed time frame.

Brennan is more or less trying to let people know about the retired grandpa's crazy attempts to contact him in case other people deal with retired grandpa in the future because the same thing might happen to them.

a forehead south of your moms belly button
there is an acceptable time frame to ship.. there is also an acceptable manner to question a trading partner.. this case has neither..

i quit trading online because of the bullcrap it takes to get the cards. everyone wants their card now now now and then you have to jump through hoops on fire to get your end. most traders want a thumb print, urine sample, and fireproof package. **REDACTED****REDACTED****REDACTED****REDACTED** that! if you cannot show me the same service that you expect you shouldnt trade.

YOU KNOW
strasburgmania saved up for a t206 **REDACTED****REDACTED****REDACTED**ner by paying 1 cent less on every transactions he ever made (6.99 for a 7 dollar sale etc) and eventually got the elusive **REDACTED****REDACTED****REDACTED**ner

either way, just go to delivery.com, order a double cheese burger and chilli cheese fries with the 25 percent off discount from johnny rockets and enjoy a nice meal for 7 bucks. much better than baseball cards and message boards

You admitted to not sending out the cards on time. I'm not sure why a guy trying to get his end of the deal is a 'certified nutcase'.

Next time, you should send out your end of the deal on time.

Also, since you think the dude is stalking you...you don't have a common name so it's relatively easy to find alternative methods to contact you.

I feel like when you want to come at someone with almost 35,000 posts and 34 100% positive feedbacks you better have something to come at him with. I've done high-end deals with very trustworthy board members where they didn't respond for a week and I wasn't the least concerned. What was going to happen to the guy if he didn't get his commons one week earlier? Would he have lost out on a chance to make money or what? I don't get why some people just simply can't wait a couple more days I buy cards all the time where I'm excited for them to come in, but if they get there a week later than I anticipate I don't call the sellers mother. If you absolutely NEED to get the cards ASAP you have to explicitly tell the seller/trader look I need these cards sent out tomorrow and if you can't then I don't want to do the deal. And don't get me wrong I'm all for being punctual and I think 2 PM's might be warranted but knowingly calling a guy's mom and emailing her who has a ton of positive feedback on a low-end deal is just idiotism.

For those piling on to the "certified nutcase" I'm going to add my recent--and uncompleted--transaction experience with Card Magnet/Brennan.

June 12: I send Paypal
From Brennan June 12: I will mail out tomorrow and PM you the delivery confirmation number.

June 16 me: Got that DC number? Thanks.
June 16 Brannan: I will have to get it Sunday night. I'm away from my house for the weekend.

June 19 Brennan: Sorry I didn't get your dc to you. I was away this weekend...I will have a dc# to you within the next hour or two (it's currently 7:00 pm est).

June 20 Brennan: My local PO...often doesn't scan items upon receipt, so look for it to pop up in Johnstown or Pittsburgh over the next day or so.

I check the DC number and the package hasn't been accepted anywhere.

June 20 Brennan: I'm sorry I didn't make things clear in that last PM. I did not mail it out then, I only printed up the slip for the package. I just got it to the post office today.

bla bla bla

I want my card too, I'm just more patient than pops.

EDIT: Also, this isn't a deal for commons but I certainly don't think that matters too much. A deal is a deal.
