A website like Fangraphs or Baseball-Reference should be allowed to list the compiled MLB statistics on broken bats since they began compiling the info. Not sure when that project started. Player specific information could become a resource to baseball fans and collectors.

For instance, it would be interesting to know:

What player broke the most bats during the 2010 season?

Or, What game and inning each bat broke during a season?

Or, which pitcher causes the most bats to break in a season, or career?

Or, what batter's bat does a specific pitcher break the most during a season?

Or, who has the fewest bats break in a season?

All the possible questions answered by these compiled stats would be valuable to GU collectors and fans.

For now MLB doesn't permit public access to this gathered info. It would be interesting to parse.

OK if the FDA says small body parts from bugs have "nutritional value" would that mean a motorcylist that takes a road trip from Seattle, Washington to Ft.Walton Beach, Fla. without a helmet on would he pick up enough bugs to his daily nutritional value? just sayin`.

Excluding intentional walks, Greg Maddux had only 133 3-0 counts in his career in 20,284 batters faced. That's around one every 153 batters.

That would be cool to know, but unfortunately I do not.

BRYCE HARPER'S SINGLE A STATS AS OF 5/7/11

Team League AVG G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG OPS
HAG SAL .368 26 87 20 32 10 0 7 23 63 16 20 5 2 .466 .724 1.190

Kid is straight mashing and not many are talking about it. Yes I know it's "only" Single A, but it's still impressive.
